Mary Mollie Summerford

Marry "Mollie" Summerford (1862-1935) was the wife of Thomas Quitman Hilton. They were married Jan. 29, 1879 in Terrell Co. Ga. when Mollie was almost 18 years old. Thomas was five years older.

Mollie was the daughter of John and Nancy (Helton) Summerford of Parrott GA. Thomas and Mollie had 12 Children.

The fact that Nancy's maiden name was Helton and the fact that Mollie married a Helton has not gone unnoticed. (Thomas Quitman Hilton was the first Helton generation to take the Hilton name).

Nancy Helton was the daughter of James and Ellen Helton. We do not know at this time if James Helton was James Helton's 2nd son.
