| Charles Alfred HeltonUnknown whether Charles is related to Abraham or one of his son's. Charles was born in Stewart County in 1852 and according to his death certificate, his mother and father were unknown. The only information we have that would suggest that he may be related to Abraham and James is the date of birth in Stewart county. Stewart County and Randolph County had many ties in history with many Randolph marriage certificates housed in Stewart County. He was 72 years old when he died in Columbus. We are noting his death certificate here as a placeholder should any future information be found about Charles. It is believed that Charles R Helton was his son and was the informant who signed the certificate of death. Charles' Spouse was deceased. The fact that his mother and father were unknown does not mean that Charles did not know who his mother and father was; it simply means that James R Helton (the person who completed death certificate information) did not know who they were. James Helton's youngest son would have been 32-37 Years old, when Charles was born. Abraham Helton's son would have been 22-27, when Charles was born. Abraham may have had other son's, but Census information for Randolph County after 1830 have not been compiled in order to confirm whether Abraham still resided in Randolph or had any addition children after 1830.
