| OK. Either you want to have your name listed on the site or you don't. It's that simple. You must submit info using the form below to get listed though. However, we are not responsible for any family members that load up your email box with political humor, religious humor, junk mail, or other nonsense. I've seen the contact list on some of these emails and they look like a spammers resource goldmine. You can always block any emails from a person that sends too much crap though. This is a whole lot easier than selling your house, changing your email address, and moving to a new city, which I did twice, before discovering how outlook will automatically transfer emails from specified email addresses to the trash bin that you designate. This way they can still send you emails (they think) and you don't have to manually delete hundreds of them. Also, we ask (as part of our standard signature at the bottom of every email I send), that when you send an email to multiple recipients, put all those names in the BCC: box (of your email form and not the TO: box. The BCC box is a blindcopy box which hides the email addresses of those on your mailing list. This makes it more difficult for spammers to get your list of email addresses and to send unsolicited email to your mailing list. This is just common email courtesy and if Heloise knew anything about email, she would provide this hint. In addition to the form below, we also would like for you to send us an email from your email address to michael@hiltonfamilytree.com, so we can add your address to our email list/phonebook though. INSERT "OUR CONTACT INFO" IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR EMAIL so we will Know the purpose of the email and so we can quickly add your address. Also, it helps if you include your name in the body of the email. This way if I get an email from "59Chevey@hotmail.com", I will know who 59 Chevy is. This will not be published on the site for others to view, but it will be used by HFT.com to send out announcements, requests, etc P.S. If these comments offend you, please call me rather than email, because I may not get your message on my home email address. If you are offended, I've probably added your name to the auto delete box and I won't get your email, so a phone call is the best way to express yourself. I have 9 websites with about 10 email addresses for each site and some of these sites get 5000 daily visitors. You would be surprised how often good mail gets deleted because of all the spammers. |
